Residential and Coastal Living Program.
Based on our residential and hospitality experience combined with our coastal, waterfront, and vacation home projects, Bellerjeau Consulting Limited is able to provide our clients with unique insight and value in designing and building their homes. Whether an investment, a second home, or primary residence we have developed a master "residential and coastal living program" that combines all of the nuances of designing and building in unique climates, environment, and lifestyles to create a truly responsive, timeless, appropriate, and exciting home that is planned to grow with you as you need.
Growth over time...
A home is an organic structure. We are always adding to our "castles" whether it be a new piece of furniture, a board game we found at a garage sale, a new coat of paint, a new deck, new landscaping, the list goes on. We are always dreaming about the "new addition" or "what if we had the laundry on the first floor", or "I sure wish we had that bonus room for our extra guests that are coming", or "a pool would be great for the grandkids. What if we need an elevator. Why didn't we build a garage, can we build a garage?" All questions are valid and at one point or another in the life of a home, they are asked.
Master program...
We have found that an effective answer to these questions is to ask them before the home is built. If you are already in your home the same questions can be asked and applied to the problem. We have developed a "
master program" that we apply to our designs and discuss with our clients as part of our programming and pre-design stage of a project. We apply all we have learned and our "program" to each home we design. Based on construction cost, preferences, aesthetic concerns, and other issues we include or exclude elements to achieve the right balance for you. Whether the master program elements are initially constructed or not, the master design is complete, and at any time in the future you will have all the options available to you to add to your home. In addition if you decide to sell your home you have an intrinsic value in the completed design and an additional selling point attractive to potential buyers.
Phases...
A master designed home allows you to choose when and how much you wish to build depending on your preferences, finances, and needs. If you decide to build all at once then know that the home you have designed is tailored to you based on years of experience and succesful projects. If you choose to expand or alter your home in phases then know you can proceed when you desire with much less impact to your home had the master plan not been implemented at conception. As your family grows and changes over time, as well as your needs, phasing opportunities based on your master plan can become exciting and prudent opportunities from many perspectives.
